This video shows the creation of an asset based on a heads up display and the use of motion tracking to track a target. The first step was to create the asset. This was done in a separate composition and was done by using three circles, each one bigger than the previous. The smallest one received a fill and stroke and the other two just had strokes. The two outside circles became small portions of it by using the trim path section and changing the end position to the desired length. Then, set keyframes on the rotation to move them around the inner circle. The composition then gets brought into the composition with the video. Next, I created a null object and motion tracked the light on the drone and applied the motion tracking to the null object. The composition with the asset is then parented to the null object and positioned and resized to fit the desired look.
